What is Erasmus+ Internship Mobility?
Erasmus+ Internship Mobility is a program that enables students to gain professional experience by working in a business, institution, or organization abroad.
Thanks to the program, students have the opportunity to both improve their professional skills and enhance their foreign language proficiency.
The internship duration is a minimum of 2 months (60 days), and students receive grant support at a rate determined by the European Commission.
This support does not aim to cover all expenses; it contributes to additional costs arising from the mobility.
Who Can Be Host Organizations?
Erasmus+ Internship Mobility can be carried out in various institutions and organizations such as universities, businesses, training centers, research centers, etc.
However, internships cannot be conducted in the following institutions and organizations:
- European Union institutions and agencies
- Organizations managing EU programs and receiving funds within this scope
- Turkish or other countries' diplomatic missions (embassies, consulates, etc.) in the host country
How to Find an Internship?
After deciding on the country, sector, and company where you want to work under the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility, you can prepare your motivation letter, CV with a photo, and if available, portfolio, and send them via mail or email to the relevant institution.
It is very important to clearly state in your application that you are participating in the Erasmus+ Student Internship Mobility program and that you will receive grant support.

How to Prepare a CV?
What Should Students Do Before Going on Mobility?
Students who are selected as final participants for Erasmus+ Internship Mobility must prepare the required documents completely and send them via email to erasmus@tinaztepe.edu.tr to request an appointment. On the appointment date, students must go to the International Relations Office and sign the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility Grant Agreement.
Documents to be submitted to the Izmir Tınaztepe University International Relations Office include:
Invitation letter, Learning Agreement for Traineeship, Management board decision, Updated English transcript, Euro bank account information opened in the student’s name, Visa and insurance policies. The insurance coverage must include: Health and travel insurance with a minimum of €30,000 coverage, The statement “outpatient treatment”, and Personal accident and liability insurance.
It is important for the student to keep a copy of all submitted documents.
The Agreement and Other Procedures
During the Erasmus+ Internship Mobility process, the student first signs the contract at the International Relations Office and receives the Erasmus Student Charter. The first part of the grant payment (70%) is deposited into the student’s declared Euro account. The remaining 30% is paid after the mobility is completed and all required documents are properly submitted to the International Relations Office.
Selection Criteria
Erasmus+ Internship Mobility applications are evaluated based on: 50% GPA (Grade Point Average) and 50% foreign language score. The GPA must be at least 2.20.
Who Can Participate?
- Students enrolled in a full-time program at the associate (short cycle), undergraduate, graduate (master’s), or doctoral level can apply.
- Students can benefit from Erasmus+ Internship Mobility multiple times, as long as it does not exceed 12 months per education level (short cycle, bachelor’s, master’s, PhD).
What Needs to Be Done Before Completing the Mobility (Before Returning)?
- Before returning, the student must complete and have the following signed and approved by the host institution: Confirmation of Stay document showing the start and end dates of the internship or the “After the Mobility” section of the Learning Agreement.
- This document is mandatory for return procedures.
What Needs to Be Done After Completing the Mobility (After Return)?
The student must email erasmus@tinaztepe.edu.tr to request an appointment. On the scheduled day, they must submit all required documents to the International Relations Office.
These documents include:
- Confirmation letter from the host institution or the “After the Mobility” part of the Learning Agreement
- Management Board Decision
- Passport
- EU Survey
Grant Payment Conditions
In case of failure or absenteeism, the remaining 30% of the grant will not be paid, and the already paid amount may be reclaimed. Once all required documents are submitted without error, the remaining 30% of the grant will be paid to the student.
